Trick or treat

How about trick. It amazes me how many Christians are "ok" with this holiday! By the way, "holiday" is derived from "holy day". Anything "holy" or "godly" about Halloween? I didn't think so.

So, lets start off with the core of a Christian adults desire to participate in Halloween, your kids. They get to dress up in cute costumes (usually not even bad characters) and get loads of candy, plus they have a great time with friends and playing games. Harmless right? Well, if you say so!

All Hallows eve is well known as a satanic day. This is a day of worship to Satan for some, a day of rituals, of sacrifice and your kids are participating...hmm. More than likely they aren't involved in those kinds of activities, but don't we still put them at risk for being interested in witchcraft, magic, and just darkness in general?

Lets not forget about skeltons, zombies, ghouls, ghosts, vampires. All characters of death and evil. Death not life. Jesus brings life, Satan brings death. Why do we desire to get involved with deeds of darkness!? Wake up sleeping Christians! Are we that naive to Satan's devices and traps?

I'm not here to condemn, but as the church of the living God, how do we think our country will ever change or turn to Lord? It will return to the
Jesus when we come back to Jesus.

Remember Monday's blog? "Called by my name".
"If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray and seek my face, I will turn and heal their land." 2 chronicles 7:14
(That's paraphrased a little bit.)
We all have to examine our motives and what we involve ourselves in, trust me there are things in my life that I know have to go. We are all a work in progress, let's go after the Lord!
