Washed in the blood

                                  

We are tainted or stained by sin, born into a sinful world.

Isaiah 64:6-7 (NLT) says:

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind. Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.

Filthy rags...try using an oily, greasy,torn rag to wash your body with! You won't get clean, will you? Try and try, you aren't good enough, you can't do enough good.

"Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power, are you washed in the blood of the lamb? Are you fully trusting in his grace this hour, are you washed in the blood of the lamb!" Still a powerful message!

Romans 3:10

As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through

Jesus Christ our Lord.

Death lies at the door for sin! Life everlasting for confessing and loving Jesus!

Romans 10:9-11

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt

believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What an awesome experience! Call on him and you shall be saved! It's so easy to realize that we can't get to heaven by ourselves, we can't get rid of the shame and guilt, but Jesus Christ can!

You see the blood of Jesus washes all the stains out of me, the blood of Jesus makes me free, no more chains pulling back on me. I've been made clean, I've been redeemed, I am a new creation in Christ!

God loves us so much! What a blessing to be a child of the king.
